Job Description

JOB TITLE: Support, Time and Recovery (STR) Worker

BAND: 3

HOURS OF WORK: 37.5 Hours per week

LOCATION: Mental Health and Wellness Team: Havering community Havering, Church Road, Harold Wood

Aim of the role:


The STR worker role is responsible for promoting a Recovery Model of Care by providing assessments and delivering support, directly and flexibly, to service users wherever they may be.

The post holder will:


  • Work as a key member of the MHW team, bringing a hands-on and practical approach and helping to support positive culture change.
  • Deliver across boundaries of care focusing on the specific needs of service users in accordance with their care plans
  • Be aligned in partnership with the individual and their care team.
  • Promote the standards identified in the organisations Patients Charter and assist with basic practical tasks, promote independence and develop and encourage links with the local community.
  • Provide evidence-based brief interventions for clients experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties under clinical supervision.
  • Be required to engage with a wide variety of internal and external colleagues such as clinical leads, Primary Care Networks, clinicians and clinical services, local authority and voluntary organisations

Starting with NELFT


NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being
properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters
will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will
undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which
will include mandatory training, systems training and the
allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will
have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior
managers, and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on
engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The
induction will be held at our head office in Goodmayes Hospital.


Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period.


High Cost Area Supplement - Outer London
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of
15%of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,870 and a maximum payment of £6,137 - per annum, pro rata for part time)
