Community Staff Nurse 0-19 Universal Children’s Services
A Band 5 vacancy for a Registered Nurse/Children's Nurse to work as a Community Staff Nurse within Thurrock and join the Healthy Families
service working alongside the Health Visiting and School Health teams, with the opportunity to apply for the specialist community public health
nursing course in health visiting or school nursing.

we deliver the 0-19 Healthy Child Programme and quality healthcare services to improve the health and well-being within the diverse community

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be a Registered Nurse/children's Nurse; have proven experience of working in multi-disciplinary and multi-agency settings
with a positive attitude towards actively engaging difficult to reach client populations. You will have experience of working closely with families and
an understanding of the whole family approach to care.

Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).


High Cost Area Supplement – Fringe (Basildon, Thurrock, Brentwood, Harlow and Dartford only)
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £1,303 to a maximum of £2,198 p.a. pro rata for part time)
