Prosthetic Physiotherapist (Band 5) — North East London NHS Foundation Trust
We are seeking a dedicated Prosthetic Physiotherapist to join our Allied Health Professionals team at Mayflower Community Hospital. This is a full-time, fixed-term position offering a salary within Band 5 (£32,073 - £39,043) . This role provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to the rehabilitation and ongoing support of service users with upper and lower limb loss.

The Role
This position is based within the Prosthetic Services team, working under the supervision of senior therapists. You will play a vital role in assessing, rehabilitating, and supporting service users with limb loss, contributing as part of a multidisciplinary team. The role provides an opportunity to work both independently and collaboratively, ensuring high-quality care and support for service users.
- Conduct assessments and deliver pre- and post-prosthetic rehabilitation for service users with limb loss.
- Provide ongoing care and support as part of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring service users receive holistic and person-centred interventions.
- Supervise pre-registration students, offering guidance and sharing knowledge to support their development.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Qualified and HCPC-registered physiotherapist.
- Demonstrated practical experience in clinical settings, including clinical placements and/or voluntary work.
- Open to applications from individuals who are about to qualify as physiotherapists and would like to start their career in a specialist area.

Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
High Cost Area Supplement – Outer London (B&D, Redbridge, Havering and Waltham Forest, CEME)
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,714 to a maximum of £5,941 p.a. pro rata for part time).
